this is a glass carafe for selected smeg DCF02 drip coffee machines. it collects the brewed coffee and sits on the warming plate. one genuine 697650076 / DCGC01 jug is supplied with a fitted grey/chrome handle and removable grey lid, with a 10-cup / 1.25 L capacity.
replace a cracked, chipped or missing carafe, or one with a damaged handle or lid. the supplied jug is hand-wash only.

Compare your old carafe
Compare the glass body, lid profile and handle with your old jug. The replacement is one clear-glass carafe with a grey lid and grey/chrome handle; the coffee machine's colour does not change the supplied jug. The DCGC01 box label identifies this accessory, not your appliance model.
Seat the lid and carafe correctly
Fit the lid securely before placing the jug on the warming plate. The lid needs to meet the machine's anti-drip valve. Switch off, unplug and let the machine cool before checking the fit. Stop using a cracked jug or one with a loose handle.
