Turn all controls off and let the cooktop cool. Isolate power and gas where applicable before fitting. Follow the appliance service instructions; do not force the spindle or lever against the control panel. The BG4S manual says not to remove knobs for cleaning and directs repairs to an authorised service agent. Use a qualified appliance technician if access or removal is unclear.
