a faulty regulator can leave a hotplate stuck on high or heating unevenly at lower settings. replace it when the regulator is confirmed as the cause. the supplied wiring instructions vary by model, control position and pilot arrangement.

RA610 and OR61: use the supplied fitting sheet
Sheet 575558 issue b covers replacing the older 532008P single regulator on RA610 and OR61 ranges. Its standing-pilot and cycling-pilot diagrams describe different indicator-light circuits. The front-right position also has specific terminal and neutral-terminal insulator instructions. Use the arrangement for the actual appliance and position; matching the knob or moving wires by appearance alone is not enough. Seek qualified help if the arrangement is unclear.
