Four contacts alone are not enough to identify the lock. Compare the keyed plug housing, mounting holes, latch opening and old part markings. Do not cut the housing, adapt the wiring or bypass the door lock to make it fit.

Keep the full model suffix

Copy the complete code from the appliance label, including the letters after the main model number. Similar model names and different production versions can use different locks. On a WashTower, identify the washer or dryer section and compare that section's old switch.

error codes

dE / dE1 / dE2 are door closure or locking warnings on applicable LG front-load washers. LG describes dE as unable to lock, dE1 as a door not properly closed, and dE2 as closed but not locked. A warning alone does not prove that the switch has failed. Clear any trapped laundry and close the door normally; follow your exact model manual if the warning remains. These meanings are not established for every washer-dryer or commercial model.

On LG DVH10-10B, DVH10-10W, DVH9-10B and DVH5-10G dryers, dE1 means the door was opened during operation or is not closed properly. dE2 / dE4 indicate a door-switch detection fault; LG instructs you to unplug the appliance and arrange service. A warning alone does not prove that this replacement will resolve the fault. These meanings are not established for the other listed dryer models; consult their exact manuals.
