how to replace a complete commercial blender jug

replace a damaged jug as a complete assembly rather than transferring the blade or lower mechanism. the CS052-type set contains a 2.5 L jug with those parts fitted, a main lid, centre cap and tamper; it does not include the motor base or sound enclosure.

scope: unplug before lifting the jug and keep hands away from blades. use unfrozen ingredients only and no more than 85 C, subject to stricter appliance limits: earlier CY140-A/CY141-A manuals prohibit hot liquids. hand-wash without soaking or dismantling the lower assembly.

steps

  1. turn off and check

switch off, wait for the motor to stop and unplug before lifting the jug. check the complete model in the compatibility checker and compare the jug base, drive connection and lid shape.

  2. wash the new jug

hand wash with warm soapy water, avoiding the sharp blade, then dry thoroughly. do not soak, put it in a dishwasher or take apart the fitted lower assembly.

  3. fit the jug and lid

with the blender unplugged, seat the jug on the base and secure the main lid and removable centre cap.

  4. keep within the limits

do not blend ice or frozen ingredients, or exceed 85 C. follow any stricter appliance limit, including no hot liquids where required. keep hands and utensils away from a running blade.

  5. check during normal use

the jug must sit properly and the lid and cap stay secure during permitted use. a leak, unusual vibration or damaged drive needs a separate check.
