why won't the folding plate supports stay upright in my DishDrawer?
a folding row left down for large dishes is not necessarily broken. if it will not stay in its intended position, check the rows and end clips with the drawer cool and empty.
the 512818 insert comprises two folding metal rows and two plastic end clips. it is separate from the adjustable holder and from the full base rack. broken clips or damaged rows may justify replacing the insert only if the rack and attachment points are sound.
the linked folding-insert guide explains the checks and model-specific rack instructions. do not force brittle clips into place. before normal use, both rows need to remain secure in their intended raised or folded positions; an insert cannot repair broken attachment points on the base rack.
first checks
- inspect both rows and clips
switch off, cool and empty the drawer. compare deliberate folding with a row or clip that no longer holds securely.
