on DF210100, food or limescale in filters and spray holes can reduce washing. clean the removable pieces and space the load before assuming an internal fault.

the lower arm clicks into place while the upper arm screws in; the filter system must be fully locked with its arrows aligned.

when to get help

  • keep debris out of the sump. if glass, leaks or continued poor washing remain, arrange service rather than opening the pump housing.

steps

  1. switch off, cool and clear the load

switch the dishwasher off. wait until the wash has stopped and the water is cool. space dishes so the spray reaches them and both arms can turn.

  2. release and rinse the filter elements

on DF210100, turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and lift out the system, keeping debris out of the sump. pull the microfilter down, then press the coarse-filter catches together to separate it. rinse the elements and clean their joining rim.

  3. lock the clean filter system

reassemble so the coarse-filter catches click into place. reinsert the system and turn the coarse filter clockwise until the arrow marks align.

  4. rinse and refit both spray arms

unscrew the upper arm and pull it down; pull the lower arm upwards. rinse the jets clear. refit the lower arm until it clicks and screw the upper arm firmly into place. check both turn freely before washing; do not open the pump housing.
