how to clean a Miele dishwasher's filters and spray arms
trapped food in the filter and spray arms can leave dishes dirty. with the dishwasher off and cool, use the model's own release method, clean and rinse the removable parts, then secure them before use.
let the washed filter air-dry. this is routine removable-part care, not a pump or electrical repair.

steps
- switch off and let it cool
switch the dishwasher off and wait until the wash has stopped and the inside is cool before reaching in.
- wash the filter
release it using your model's filter instructions, wash away food with warm soapy water and rinse. let it air-dry, then refit it securely. avoid bleach-based cleaners and vinegar inside the dishwasher.
- rinse the spray arms
use the model's removal method, rinse through the inlet and clear trapped food gently. refit the arms and check they turn freely.
