why is water pooled in my dishwasher after a cycle?
water covering the dishwasher's base after a finished cycle is different from droplets on the tub walls. a filter or drain-path restriction may be involved, but pooling does not identify a failed pump.
first confirm that the programme actually finished rather than being paused or interrupted. once the tub is cool, switch off and use the model's instructions to release and clean the removable filter. watch for sharp debris and lock the complete filter back into place before use.
the linked filter guide also allows a look at drain hose already visible, without pulling the dishwasher out. it does not cover pump-cover removal, concealed plumbing or cabinet access.
continued pooling, a damaged filter or debris that cannot be handled safely needs service. do not operate with filters missing or keep repeating cycles to clear an unresolved drainage fault. report whether the cycle completed and where the water remains.
possible causes
- the cycle has not finished
- food or debris blocking the filter
- a restriction in the external drain path
