how to identify a dishwasher heating-relay fault

cold wash water does not prove that the heating relay has failed. record the programme and warning for a technician to check the heating circuit.

steps

  1. record the heating problem

note the wash programme and visible fault message. don't reach into wash water, touch the heater or keep trying heating programmes to test it. give the technician the full model.

  2. confirm the relay

leave internal access closed. have the technician compare the old label, connectors and mounting: 6002930 has a 220-240 V ac coil and no small side screw hole. appearance or a warning alone isn't enough.

  3. arrange fitting and checks

if that relay is faulty and suits the model, have the technician fit it and complete the electrical and heated-wash checks. continuing heating faults need further checking.
