how to replace a dryer condenser sponge filter

clean an intact condenser sponge as the dryer manual directs; replace foam that is torn, deteriorated or still blocked after cleaning. the H0180300116-compatible pack contains two separate sponges, each about 245 x 140 x 10 mm.

fit one in the original support and keep the other as a spare. a damaged support is a separate repair.

scope: match the full dryer revision, foam outline and locating holes. on DH8060P3, cln lint is a cleaning prompt, not proof that the foam needs replacement. avoid the sharp fins behind the filter.

steps

  1. check the cool filter

switch off, unplug and let the dryer cool. check for tears, crumbling or blockage left after the recommended cleaning. check the full model and revision on the product page, plus the foam's outline and holes.

  2. remove the old foam

open the condenser-filter cover and release the support as the manual directs. remove the damaged foam and clear accessible lint. keep fingers away from the sharp fins behind it.

  3. fit one sponge

lay one sponge flat in the support without gaps. refit and secure the support and cover. never run the dryer without the filter.

  4. check the cover

check that the support and cover close securely. arrange service if a cleaning prompt continues after the filter has been cleaned and refitted as instructed.
