why are there droplets on my Electrolux EQE6207SD or EQE6807SD cooling panel?
the cooled aluminium panel in EQE6207SD and EQE6807SD fridges can collect moisture in humid conditions. this panel effect does not explain water on the floor or food staying warm.
model scope: Electrolux EQE6207SD and EQE6807SD four-door fridges.
first note exactly where the moisture is. check packaging that may hold a door ajar and keep unnecessary openings brief; do not dismantle the panel to look behind it.
the linked guide helps distinguish small panel droplets from symptoms needing assessment. continued pooling, water near electrical fittings, loss of cooling or a door that cannot close needs separate attention. droplets alone are not a reason to replace a seal or control, and a dry-looking panel would not prove refrigeration is sound. this applies to the two named four-door fridges, not every Electrolux interior or leak.
first checks
- locate the moisture
check whether it is confined to the aluminium panel or pooling elsewhere, then look for a visible door obstruction without removing covers.
possible causes
- humidity condensing on the cooled aluminium panel
- a door held ajar lets more moist air in
