why does my oven light stay off?
some oven modes leave the light off, so check a mode that normally illuminates the cavity first. a failed globe is one possibility if it stays dark, not the only lighting fault.
the linked lamp guide covers a globe change only where the exact manual permits it. wait until the oven is completely cold and isolate power at its labelled switch or accessible plug before touching the cover. if you cannot confirm isolation, stop.
use the specified heat-rated appliance globe and the documented cover-release method. a cover does not necessarily unscrew, and an ordinary household globe is not an equivalent just because it fits. secure the cover before restoring power.
a stuck or broken cover, integrated led module or new globe that remains dark needs service. do not force the cover, remove the cabinet or investigate wiring.
possible causes
- the selected mode leaves the lamp off
- a failed replaceable globe
- an led or other lighting-circuit fault
