how to check and match a long plastic rangehood light cover
a cracked, discoloured or missing light diffuser needs its shape and mounting checked before a replacement is selected. 4055093019 / 03294757 is one translucent long plastic cover about 320 x 63 mm, without a bulb or holder.
some SA480T hoods use a short glass cover around 170 mm long; that style is not interchangeable. this guide identifies the cover and visible clips, not a clip-release method.

scope: disconnect power, let the lamp cool and use the documented clip release. retain sound mounts; damaged clips or electrical parts need separate repair.
steps
- disconnect and cool
switch off, disconnect power and let the lamp cool before inspecting the cover.
- identify the cover style
check the full model and suffix. compare the old cover or visible opening, approximate size, shape and end clips. stop if it uses the short glass style instead.
- check the visible retaining points
inspect only what is safely visible without releasing the cover. do not lever against the lamp, force brittle tabs or open an electrical enclosure. damaged clips or mounts need a separate repair.
- arrange the correct release and fitting
get the exact hood's illustrated cover-release instructions or ask a repairer. this guide does not establish which clip moves first or in which direction. following a correctly completed change, the cover must be secure and clear of the lamp before power is restored. a lamp that stays dark needs a separate check.
