how to check washer neck-ring suspension straps
stop a banging washer rather than running more spin tests. a repairer needs to check the neck-ring mounts, suspension rods and bowl movement, especially if a previous set of straps broke again.
the 420978P-style pack contains four short moulded straps and fitting instructions; long suspension rods are separate.

scope: straps connect the bowl's neck ring to rod-top brackets. the supported fitting note calls for all four as a set, both ends seated without twists, under the exact model procedure. power and water must be disconnected before top access.

steps
- stop the washer
stop using it if it bangs or straps are known to be broken. do not keep spinning to test the balance. unplug from a dry, safe point and close the taps. do not lift the top or reach near a moving bowl.
- report earlier failures
check the full model and product-code revision on the product page. tell the technician and seller about previous strap replacements and how quickly they failed. share photos of visible damage without opening the washer; do not assume which part caused it.
- have the suspension checked
ask the technician to check the attachment points and surrounding suspension. if replacement is needed, they should fit all four straps without twists, following the included instructions and exact model procedure.
- check before use
return to use only once the straps and attachment points are secure. stop and seek help if tearing or knocking returns.
