how to replace a matching top-loader agitator body
replace an agitator with broken fins or a worn drive connection only after confirming the full model and retained fittings. the 425025P-pattern supply is one white plastic body with moulded fins and a plastic drive spline.
the internal filter/net and fabric-softener top are not supplied, and their fit can differ from the old body.

steps
- check the old agitator
unplug the stopped washer. look for cracked fins or sharp broken edges without snapping pieces off. check the full model/product code on the product page and compare the body, drive connection and softener-top fitting before removal.
- release the old part
follow the exact model instructions to remove the cap or softener top and release the securing fastener. lift out the agitator as instructed. stop and get help if it is stuck or the shaft or fastener is damaged.
- fit the new body
compare the grooved drive connection and any top or filter pieces being kept. seat the new agitator fully. do not add packing, alter or force a loose or different connection.
- secure and check
refit the correct fastener in good condition and the appropriate top as instructed; do not assume a new fastener is included. both must be secure, with no damaged fins exposed. stop if the drive slips or the top will not fit.
