The spring and its clip are separate parts
The 424346 spring is supplied on its own. In this exploded view it is callout 5; the small clip is a separate component. Inspect the existing 420197P clip for damage or a missing attachment before reusing it. This is an example layout, not a service drawing confirmed for every listed model.
Check the original attachment before changing the spring
The spring pulls sideways between the neck ring and a left suspension attachment. Some models use the front-left position and others the rear-left, so copy your model's original arrangement rather than choosing a position from this example photo. Unplug the washer before access and follow its service instructions. The WA8060P FabricSmart guide reserves this work to a Fisher & Paykel Authorised Repairer. A damaged spring can contribute to bowl movement.
