this is a drain pump motor for selected samsung front-load washing machines and washer-dryers. it drives the pump that removes wastewater. one genuine askoll M231 XP / S3041 motor is supplied; a clean, secure and uncracked matching plastic housing can be reused.
replace it when the motor is diagnosed as faulty and the machine retains water or drains poorly. 5E, 5C and nD indicate drain faults on matching samsung washers. the motor has rear screw fixing, a five-hole body and two spade terminals.

For Samsung machines, DC31-00181A is the main reference I check, but the housing still matters. This motor can work as a DC31-00181A motor-only repair when the round pump head, housing clip and two flat terminals match. Compare the old label and housing before ordering.
error codes
Drain codes: 5E, 5C and nD on matching Samsung washers are drain faults. This motor helps when the old DC31-style drain pump motor has failed.
Before replacing: Check for water trapped in the tub, clear the filter and compare the old pump label, 5-hole body and terminals.
