this is a dual water inlet valve for selected ge, hotpoint, americana and kelvinator top-load washing machines. its two solenoids control incoming hot and cold water. one assembly with a blue valve body, metal mounting carrier and mesh inlet screens is supplied.
replace it when valve failure is diagnosed as the cause of slow filling, no fill or loss of hot or cold water. this is the 220-240 V AC version, for replacing a valve with the matching voltage and mounting layout. the kelvinator application is WA8570.

Choose the correct voltage version
This is the 220-240 V AC version, not a 110-120 V valve. Match the old valve's electrical label, hose connections and mounting layout before ordering.
error codes
For a GE washer with a mechanical timer, no fill can occur if the timer knob is not pulled out fully. Check the water taps and visible inlet hoses too. These symptoms do not prove the inlet valve has failed. Match the old valve, including its voltage, before ordering.
