this is a cold-water inlet triple valve for selected westinghouse top-load washing machines. it controls cold water entering the washer. one genuine 140000916035 assembly is supplied with three black rubber outlet seals in original service-parts packaging. it has 240 V AC coils, blade terminals and a 3/4-inch BSP inlet.
a faulty valve can cause slow or intermittent filling or leaks. on WWT8040, E10 indicates filling or water loss; replacement may help when the valve is the cause. internal repairs require service personnel.
