why are my cooktop's touch controls not responding?
water, grease or something resting on a cooktop's touch sensors can stop the controls responding. a control lock can have the same appearance without indicating a failed control board.
switch the cooktop off and let the cooking zones cool before clearing objects from the controls. wipe away moisture or grease with a soft damp cloth, then dry the surface. use dry fingers and touch one sensor at a time.
