how to replace an adjustable DishDrawer crockery insert
the adjustable insert holds plates and bowls inside the main rack. replace a damaged or missing 523649 assembly only if the base rack is sound.
the supply includes fixed and moving prongs, front and rear clips and the spacing handle, not the base rack. the handle changes the space between the prongs.

scope: check the old shape and attachment points. on DD60DCX7, a larger cutlery basket can obstruct the insert; do not force it past the basket or assume a smaller basket keeps the same cutlery capacity.
steps
- empty and cool the drawer
switch off, let it cool and remove the dishes. check for broken prongs or clips rather than spacing that simply needs adjusting.
- check the fit
check the product page, old shape and front slider. a larger cutlery basket can obstruct the insert on DD60DCX7. send a photo of the rack and basket if the clearance is unclear.
- change the insert
follow the model's rack instructions to lift out the old insert and seat the complete new one in the same position. don't force it past the basket.
- set the spacing
move the front handle to suit the plates or bowls. check that it moves the prongs freely, clears the cutlery basket and leaves the holder securely seated.
