why does my fridge water dispenser keep dripping?
a few drops after dispensing can be normal, but dripping that continues is different. if it began after a filter change, trapped air or a poorly seated cartridge may be involved.
record whether the drops stop and whether flow changed after the cartridge was fitted. check that it is the specified filter rather than choosing by appearance. the linked filter guide covers cartridges the owner manual permits you to change.
shut off water before permitted reseating, follow the release and locking marks and never force a housing. flush only the amount specified for the appliance and cartridge while watching for leaks. resetting a reminder is not a remedy for poor fitting or leakage.
close the supply if safe for a substantial leak, damaged housing or persistent dripping, and arrange service. do not remove hinge covers, change water couplers or disturb concealed pipework to trace the leak.
possible causes
- a few drops left after dispensing
- air introduced during a filter change
- a poorly seated filter or a water-line problem
