tools and materials

  • suitable water container

when to get help

  • for a substantial leak, damaged housing, persistent dripping or continued poor flow, close the supply if safe and arrange service. do not remove hinge covers or alter water couplers and concealed pipework.

steps

  1. note what has changed

check whether a few final drops stop after dispensing or dripping continues. note whether slow flow or dripping began after a cartridge change.

  2. check the cartridge fitting

if your manual allows a change or reseating, shut off the water first. check that the cartridge is the specified type, follow the release and locking marks, and do not force the housing.

  3. flush and check for leaks

restore the water and flush the amount stated for your appliance and cartridge into a container, watching for leaks. reset the reminder after a completed filter change; resetting alone does not clean the cartridge.
