why does my fridge drawer stick or slide unevenly?

a drawer that catches or tilts can have a bent or worn runner, but its clips and supports also need checking. empty it before looking at the visible rails.

do not force the drawer or remove a bin that is not intended to be removable. left and right mean the sides viewed facing the fridge. another drawer in the same appliance can use different runners.

the linked guide concerns an existing 836703 left/836702 right arrangement, not converting a rail-less drawer. check old rail numbers, mounts and exact product-code restrictions; RF440TRPX6 product 25575-A uses different rails. use the model's release method only, with the drawer supported. do not wash grease out of the runners or add lubricant. stop if the refitted empty drawer catches or tilts.

first checks

  1. inspect both sides

empty the drawer and look at accessible runners, clips and supports without forcing or dismantling a fixed bin.
