when to get help

  • a cracked tray, damaged cavity or door, continued grinding or rotation failure, or an electrical or burning smell needs service. stop use and do not open the case or try to reach the drive motor.

steps

  1. unplug and let the glass cool

unplug the microwave and let the glass cool. remove the tray and roller ring where fitted. wash the pieces your manual permits in warm soapy water. gently wipe food from the cavity surfaces, door-contact areas, floor and roller track, keeping liquid out of vents.

  2. dry and refit the pieces

dry everything, seat the roller ring and fit the tray onto its drive fitting. check that the container clears the walls. keep all required pieces fitted and never run an empty microwave or test it with the tray removed.
