why is my Miele Boost CX1 losing suction?
a full bin, dirty fine dust filter or mat, or a restricted air path can reduce pickup in a Boost CX1. its exhaust filter has separate care requirements.
model scope: Miele Boost CX1 bagless vacuum cleaners.
switch off and unplug before emptying at the max mark or inspecting detached hose and head for obvious obstructions. do not treat this bagless vacuum like a GN bagged model.
the linked guide covers separating and rinsing the fine dust filter and mat in cold water without detergent or brushes. both need complete drying for at least 24 hours before refitting; do not use wet or damaged filters. that washing method does not apply to the exhaust filter, which has its own instructions. an inaccessible blockage or continued poor suction after correct care needs further help rather than indiscriminate filter washing or replacement.
first checks
- identify each filter before washing
confirm Boost CX1 and separate the fine filter/mat from the exhaust filter, with the vacuum unplugged.
possible causes
- dust container at its max mark
- dirty fine dust filter or filter mat
- blocked hose or exhausted exhaust filter
