why is water left in my Simpson SWF85561, SWF85661 or SWF10761?
lint or small objects in the drain filter can restrict drainage on a Simpson SWF85561, SWF85661 or SWF10761. these models use an in-drum filter, not the lower-front pump cap shown in many generic washer guides.
model scope: Simpson SWF85561, SWF85661 and SWF10761 only.
the filter is reached through the drum only when opening the door is safe. water at the door opening, retained heat or a locked door means drainage must be dealt with first; do not force the door or improvise an emergency drain.
once the drum is safely empty and cool and the door has released normally, the linked model-specific guide explains aligning the filter cover with the mark on the seal. power must be disconnected before cleaning, and the filter must click back into place with its indicator visible.
a stuck catch, sharp debris or a filter that will not reseat is a reason to stop. continued drainage failure needs service; this symptom alone does not establish a failed pump.
